How Fresh is Morning After Rain
August 12th, 2009 by Linda Jenkinson
How fresh is morning after rain!
Recreation of new day.
The storm has passed and washed the stain
Of yesterday away.
Clouds rolled in at darkest night.
Lightening cut through heavy air.
In the trail of blinding light
We saw what could be there.
Thunder clapped and shook the dust.
Downpour washed it into earth.
Wind blew strong with breathy lust
In billows of rebirth.
How fresh is morning after rain!
Birds take wing in sky of blue.
Vision, crystal clear again.
The path ahead, windswept and new.
