Goodbye to Summer

September 21st, 2007 by Linda Jenkinson
  • In the autumn, there is sorrow,
  • For tomorrow never comes,
  • And all too soon becomes today.
  • Blossoms fade
  • As summer finishes her tapestry
  • And slips away.
  • Amid rustle of falling leaves
  • She goes.
  • Her leaves,
  • The golden memories
  • That warm us as we face impending snow.
